Swatch: Powder Perfect Land of Reeds

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.htmlGorgeous people, hello!!!
You know whenever I bring you a swatch post from something I purchased it's because I'm in love, right?

I recently received an order I'd placed for Powder Perfect polishes - my first ever, yay!!
I was soooo hypnotized by both the polishes I couldn't resist swatching them before any nail art.

Today we're taking a look at Powder Perfect Land of Reeds:

Swatch Powder Perfect Land of Reeds

KBShimmer Take a Punny and Run - Swatch & Review

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.htmlHi, lovelies!!
I'm so excited about today's post! You know I'm not exactly the swatcher type and my skills aren't all that great.

But now and again comes a nail polish that makes me throw all that to the wind and bring you a swatch & review post such as today.

Last month I went a bit overboard with my nail polish buying, considering it was my birthday and all. Then life and work got in the way and I've somehow not yet managed to try all the beauties I got for myself.

Today we have a religious holiday, which gave me some time off everything and the will to paint my nails. I chose KBShimmer Take a Punny and Run and... magic happened!

My headache disappeared, my friggin' cold disappeared and all I had was awe.

I've got a swatch and review of a Spell Polish nail polish for you today.
Today's post will be a quick one, I just feel like I've got to say a few things.

I'd never tried the brand before but I've always admired the range of colours and the gorgeous swatches I'd seen, so I was quite amped up about finally wearing one on my own nails (thank you, Paulina, for the sweet gift).

Spell Polish A Spell for Floating is a gorgeous metallic duochrome that ranges from gold to rose gold.

Swatch & Review - Wycon No.06 Blu Profondo

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.html[Portuguese Version HERE]

Today's post is another nail polish swatch & review, part of my collaboration with  Wycon Cosmectics.

I've shown you one of their polishes here HERE and today's colour is just as perfect for Fall as that one and equally beautiful.

Let's have a look then:

Wycon No.06 Blu Profondo

This is Wycon No.06 Blu Profondo.
Again, even if not entirely creative, the name is a pretty accurate deppiction of this polish.

Swatch & Crítica - Wycon No.06 Blu Profondo

Comparison Post - Dior Métropolis & Wycon Verde Militare

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.htmlI've never really bothered much about the whole 'dupe' thing in the nail blogosphere, to be honest.

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.htmlThat was until I started to buy more and more polish, coveting some awesome collections that were... well, too expensive.

That's when I understood the whole 'dupe' hype scene thing.
Today's post is my first comparison post and I'm quite excited to be doing something differnt on the blog, so I'll hope you'll like it!

 Dior Métropolis

Today's post is a comparison between Wycon Verde Militare and Dior Métropolis (which I'll be swatching and reviewing more throroughly for you this weekend).
I thought these two were dupes but I couldn't have been wronger.

Swatch and Review - Dior Black Out

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.html
http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.html Today's post is another exciting one: I gave in to the little voice inside my head and decided to splurge on some of the new polishes from  Dior Cosmopolite collection.

I saw all the new ones that came out and had a really hard time choosing (I might still need to go back to the Dior stand, don't judge me!).

In the end, I went with colours I knew I'd be wearing a lot, 'cause that's how you take the most of high-end, crazy expensive nail polishes ;)

Let's show you one of my purchases, then:

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.html

If you've seen THIS picture before on my Instagram feed, you know today's post is a dream come true.

So, today's post is gonna be another swatch & review one, a very special one (seriously, had you seen me walking around staring at my nails all day and moving them at different angles in the sun, you'd know just how much).

I present you:

Dove Peace Nails

Hello gorgeous!!
Today, I bring you a post on a nail art look posted on my Instagram some days ago (HERE).

I participate in several nail art challenges within the nail art community on Instagram and I share them here later, 'cause otherwise, I'd have two to three posts a day - too crazy!

Onto the nails then:

peace nails

The prompt was 'Peace' and I decided to go with a freehand dove.

Swatch & Review - Wycon Gel-Like No.02 Verde Militare

http://cubbiful.blogspot.pt/2013/01/review-policy-for-public-relations.html[Portuguese version HERE]

I am so excited about today's post as I'm happy to announce a collaboration with Wycon Cosmectics.

I have shown you some of their nail polishes (HERE and HERE) and you saw how impressed I was at the quality of their polishes.
I was therefore quite happy to be contacted to swatch some more of their polishes.

I've got a real beauty to show you today and a colour that's proving to be a staple for the upcoming Fall season - I've been seeing it in many other collections by different brands and soon I'll have a comparison post for you.

Onto today's swatch then:

Wycon Gel-Like No.02 Verde Militare

This is Wycon No.02 Verde Militare from their gel-like line.
The name says it all about the colour.

Zombie Glitter Nails

I'm quite aware the title to this post is probably the most ridiculous thing - zombies AND glitter?! - but we're going with fun and crazy today ;)

(I've posted these yesterday on Instagram, so they may not be totally new to you.)

green glitter nails

And that means starting it off with a close-up of the most wonderfully bright green polish. And it's glitter!!!

Purple Nails and Floral Waterdecals

After using waterdecals in an unusual way HERE, I wanted to do it again:

I love how these turned out - they're elegant, unusual and very eyecatching.

Swatch and Nail Art - Wycon No.07

I know, I know. Since Monday now you've only seen me with polishes by the same brand.

So here's the thing: I'm not a swatcher - I don't have crazy perfect swatch photos and I don't do awesome macros.

I'm also not very good at swatcher lingo and swatching to me is just to see how cool the polish applies and what the odds are of me wearing it almost always, occasionally or never. Know what I mean?

So I try on the polishes (you can't say I swatch them really), see how good they 'feel' and then do whatever nail art it inspired me to do.

There! After a mouthful of an explanation as to why there's been posts only about this specific brand, let's get to today's swatch and nail art combo :)

Wycon cosmetics

I've got Wycon No.07, a lovely creme polish in green (teal? - see? can't even get shades right ;)).
It applies beautifully and the shine you see is all its own.

Swatch and Nail Art - Wycon No.701

I 'recently' discovered a new nail polish brand: Wycon Cosmetics

It's quite similar to Kiko (which you've probably heard of before): it's from Italy, it doesn't test on animals and it provides affordable make up and nail polish.

They've recently rebranded their name (see HERE) from Wjcon to Wycon, so some polish bottles may still have the old name.

A new store opened near my workplace but I was and still am on a no-buy policy, so I bought nothing.
Luckily I have a Bf who can read my mind and surprise me with perfect gifts :)

swatch Wycon 701

This beauty was in the gift box he offered me.
It's Wycon No.701 and it's a  lovely shade of blue that looks perfect on me (total modesty, I know, but a girl must acknowledge BF's good taste and eye for the thing :)).

Elegant Sultry Nails with Bellaoggi Bitter Sangria

If you've seen my post yesterday, you know I recently purchased two nail polishes, after a long no-buy period.

Today I'm showing you the second one and the nail art I paired it with.

Bellaoggi Gel Effect Keratin Bitter Sangria

Meet Bellaoggi Gel Effect Keratin Bitter Sangria, a deeper shade of purple in real life, sultry and crazy elegant.
You're seeing one coat and no top-coat - which is one of the reasons that makes me love this brand so much.
The colour payoff with just one coat hits off scale.

Lemon Nail Art with A Maria Vaidosa by Inocos

Today, with  Inocos, I'm bringing you some lemon nail art, inspired by this look I'd seen by Kyleigh Knight.

Inocos A Maria Vaidosa Amarelo

I started by painting my nails with Inocos A Maria Vaidosa Amarelo.
This is sadly a three-coater (you know how much I love 1/2 coaters) but the colour payoff is worth the etra coat.
It's also quite shiny on its own and although it makes my skin look funky it's definitely a beautiful polish (I might be wearing this one on my toes this Summer actually ;)).

Pop Art Cherry Nails with A Maria Vaidosa by Inocos

Today, with  Inocos, I'm bringing you some cherry nail art, with a pop art twist.

 Inocos A Maria Vaidosa Violeta

Let's start with the nail polish that inspired the whole look - this is Inocos A Maria Vaidosa Violeta.
It's opaque in two very thin coats and the drying time is quite fast.
The end finish is not the shiniest, but it's not entirely dull - you'll need a topcoat, though, because you'll want such a gorgeous shade to shine till infinity and beyond!

Colourful Geometric Squares Nail Art with CF Beauty Cosmetics - Swatch & Review

Today's the day I bring you the last polish from CF Beauty Cosmetics 2015 Spring/Summer edition.

You can see all previous swatches HERE as well as what nail art looks I did with each - it's surely been a fun ride :)

As for today's nails, I've got a swatch of CF Beauty Cosmetics Nº9 Flashbulb Grey to show you:

CF Beauty Cosmetics Nº9 Flashbulb Grey

Flashbulb Grey is a lovely silver shade, with a metallic finish to it. Rather than have a mirror like effect, this beauty has a luminous effect - can you see all the light that reflect off of it? Gorgeous!
I'm using two coats in this picture and no topcoat - you can see the end finish is somewhat matte, so you'll want a topcoat with this one.

Sunset Nails with CF Beauty Cosmetics - Swatch & Review

I'm so excited about today's nails! I'm bringing you what's probably my favourite nail art of the week so far :)

I've been reviewing nail polishes sent to me for review by CF Beauty Cosmetics (you can see previous posts HERE) from their 2015 Spring/Summer edition.

And today I've got to show you a swatch of the gorgeous CF Beauty Cosmetics Nº6 Sunset in Portugal:

CF Beauty Cosmetics Nº6 Sunset in Portugal

Sunset in Portugal has got THE most perfect name ever! It's orangey, warm tone is exactly what a Summer sunset feels here in Portugal. They totally nailed it!
Application was pretty smooth with this one and the drying time was fabulously fast.
You're seeing three coats - I still had some bald patches after the second coat and had to go for a third.
