Simple Donut Nail Art and New Blog Layout - Yay!

If you're from around these parts, you've noticed the blog has changed a bit. 

I've been meaning to do so for a while now and there's still a few tweaks to add (like an About Me section), but I'm liking how things are looking so far.

I was searching the web on ways to add an Instagram stream on my sidebar (check it down on the left! ain't it looking neat?) and I came accross The Blog Decorator, which was offering a blog template for free! 

And it had the same colour scheme as mine ;)

Aside from that awesome fact, they also offer really nice tips for Blogger blogger and provide design services and other blog templates - so, if you're in the mood for a change, like myself, check it out :)

Also, if you've noticed, I've added a photo of myself - hello, there! - which gives me butterflies (so much exposure arghhhh!) but I think you'll like to put a face to the nails :)

With all that excitement, of course I had to sport some happy, colourful nails, right?

Let's see what I came up with:

I love, love, love donuts - who doesn't? - but I didn't want any complicated, intricate, time-consuming nail art, so I came up with this simple donut nail art instead :D

All you need is to paint your nails a bright sunny yellow (or any other vibrant colour you love) to act as the frosty background.

I used Bellaoggi Gel Effect No.34 Sunshine Yellow.

And with a nail art brush and some acyrlic paint in contrasting colours - I went with pink, turquoise and white, but feel free to choose your combo.

The use the brush to make lines and you're done. Simple, hey?

I finished it all with some double black lines for dimension - it was all looking a bit too plain, but you can easily leave that out and still have some pretty fun nails :)
