Today's nail art was quite an effort but I'm so pleased with the end result - check it out:
For me, to whom painting and drawing was always hard work and not natural talent, these make me proud!
And if you're wondering about the difference between water lotus and water lillies, read HERE - I was a bit confused, too, and did some research :)
The lovely base polish was Catrice Never Green Before and I kick myself for not wearing it often enough, it's such a gorgeous polish!
The water lotus flowers were painted in acrylic paintings.
I took the chance to test two new top coats I was sent for review by CF Beauty Cosmetics.
This is their Gel Like Top Coat - it's not the shiniest I've tried and I don't even think it's very gel like at all.
However, it dries incredibly fast: ca. 1min. (still dentable after that but no longer sticky to the touch).
It's shiny enough to make these sparkle but I don't think it would be the right choice for a packed glitter mani, for example.
I also went for a matte version of this mani with the brand's Velvet Top Coat, which I'l say it's one of the best matte top coats I've ever tried.
It won't drag on your nail design and it won't leave tiny white bits on your nails. The finish is quite velvety indeed like the name promises.
The only downside is that it takes almost 3min to dry - but then again matte top coats usually take longer.
Now for your opinion: which do you vote on? matte or shiny?
And how about the nail art? Did I make you believe these were water lotus? I wanna know!
Hugs & Kissies,
