40 GREAT NAIL ART IDEAS - Halloween

I've been having a ton of fun with this challenge and today's nail art is no exception!

Here's what I prepared for Halloween:

I recreated THIS drawing by SuperRibbonGirl (you can check her Deviantart profile).

She was inspired by Invader Zim and recreated a blood and gore version of him.

Double Stamp All The Nails

Hello, beautiful people!!
It's that time again, when I and all the fabulous ladies from Paint All the Nails create nail art together.

We decided this month's theme would be Double Stamping, as if stamping alone wasn't challenging enough haha!

But I suppose that's why we decided to go for it: to stretch our wings a little bit ;)

I went with a cosy look: temperatures are slowly dropping here in Lisbon and we can all feel the need of an extra layer to keep warm. 

Retro Dotticure Nail Art

Sometimes classic looks win and today is such a story.

I wanted something fast and easy to achieve, uncompromising but still pretty to look at (you can tell it's one of those weeks).

So I chose a dotticure in a style I'd never tried it before: retro.

This is going to be a busy week and time for detailed nail art needs to be spared. So, for today's post, I prepared something fast but still eye-striking and beautiful.

This looks beautiful and took me less than 20min to achieve.

Blood and Gore - Totoro Nail Art

Hello, lovelies. I hope you've all had a fabulous Monday and not a horrid one, like me.

Today's post and nail art is for Themed Thursday (it's again, late *le sigh), with the prompt 'Blood and Gore'.

I saw this picture online and knew straight away I had to try and recreate it.

This is the final result and I think I managed the whole weirdness and unsettling feeling, don't you?

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange, Purple and Green Needle Drag Nail Art

Longest post title ever marks another 40GNAI challenge.
This one's the colour part of the challenge, when we all get different techniques.

I got needle drag this week and it was a struggle, I can tell you that. So much so, in fact, that I've got two nail designs to show you. I consider them both fails (hence this post being late) but #failsarenails too, so here we go!

This is the one I consider less of a fail, but I can't say I've succeeded all that much at all either, can I?

Digital Dozen Does Autumn - Day 5: Autumn by Calvin & Hobbes

I'm ending the week with some late posting but I think we're going out with a bang!
This week has been crazy insane (I commited to actually making a mani a day - why do I make silly bets with myself!?) but also incredible rewarding.

I'm happy I produced some (if I may say so msyelf) beautiful nail art and actually proud to count myself amongst The Digital Dozen fab ladies - thank you for taking me, in!

Without further ado, let's show you what I prepared for my final mani:

Ever since I've gotten into nail art as in for real, I've wanted to paint one of my favourite cartoon characters: Calvin & Hobbes.

Digital Dozen Does Autumn - Day 4: Stained Glass Dahlia

I'd been itching to paint another stained glass nail art and I wanted something with a floral motif. 

I had to search some to find flowers that bloom in Autumn and I found Dahlias to be the prettiest.
They grow in Spring and Summer and flower in Autumn.

So this is how my nails turned out:

I know, colours aren't exactly very Autumn like.

I should have gone with orange instead (and I still might do it) but I loved these so much I felt I had to share them with you anyway.

Digital Dozen Does Autumn - Day 3: Fallen Leaves

I'm not sure yet how I feel about today's nail art (I figure this challenge path was going way too smooth to last long).

While I can't call it a total fail, I can't say I'm 100% pleased about it either.
Anyway, let me show you what I mean:

The leafy pattern I made is not too bad but I wish it didn't overpower the gradient.

Digital Dozen Does Autumn - Day 2: Roasted Chestnuts

So, here's the thing - we're all like to gain some weight during colder seasons. I know that. You know that. We all do it, c'mon!

So, for today's Autumn Day 2 I bring you one of my favourite Autumn treats: chestnuts!
My favourite are roasted chestnuts, they're so yumm!!

So here they are.

I didn't paint many of them because I always feel there's not enough in the paper bag to satisfy me!

Digital Dozen Does Autumn - Day 1: Cosy Nail Art

I wish you could see my face right now!! This post is for my very first nail art as a member of the Digital Dozen!!!!

I am so excited for this challenge week and even more so to have been accepted in a group of such awesome women and talented, too!

This month's theme is Autumn and seeing I just had a full on Autumn weekend, with rain and colder temperatures, I was more than inspired to create this:

I call it cosy nail art!

One of the first things that comes to my mind about changing seasons to Autumn is all the cosy vibe of curling up in the sofa with a sweet mug of hot cocoa or going out wrapped around in your favourite scarf.

Halloween Nail Art - Haunted House

Today's Themed Thursday prompt was either Haunted House or Graveyard.

I'm usually not one to go for Halloween nail art (it's not greatly celebrated in Portugal), which is why I'm really enjoying this challenge.

By the title you've already guessed which one I went for, so let's see what I've prepared for you today:

I've done a spooky,  haunted by aliens kinda abandoned house with a full moon background.

I was scared of not being able to give dimension to the house - I didn't want it all to be just silhouette - so I'm really proud there's some noticeable details.

I've forgotten to post a really cool mani I did for Themed Thursday, a challenge I'm participating in this month, thought of by the wonderful ladies Lindsey (Wondrously Polished) and Kelli (The Nail Polish Challenge).

It's a weekly challenge that happens every Thursday, with new themes/prompts each month.

These might be the ugliest, most disfigured pumpkins and Jack-o-lanterns ever but I love the colours!!

I've been anticipating this post for such a long time! Today's nail art marks the beginning of an yearly nail art changing with Crumpet’s Nail Tarts!

For the whole of 52 weeks, we'll be making nail art every Friday, based of themes or colours & patterns. It's gonna be a fun ride!

Maple Tree Leaves - Fall Nail Art

Today's nail art is my second Fall design and I'm proud of how it looks after I tried making it for the fifth time!!

Yes, you read that right - I had to redo this mani four times and the fifth finally produced results I was happy with.

Let's show you these maple tree leaves then:

This design is part of a a Fall Twin Mani with lovely @skyhigh_nails - she's fairly new to Instagram, so go show her some love :)
