Birds Of A Feather, Flock Together

This morning (well, more lunch hour than morning), I showed you some fun-named polishes (see here) and told you they were all three part of a special edition.

Os Três da Vida Airada is an expression we, Portuguese, have for three close friends, who stick together no matter what and who are always messing around in merriment.

So when thinking about a manicure I could do with them that expressed that same feeling, there was very little choice but... keeping them together.

You know what that means? I know you're thinking it so, come on!
IT'S GRADIENT TIME! :D

Now, if you've been with me this whole time, you know that gradients usually create anxiety - I find them hard to pull through and I get inconsistent results more than anything.
But... can I just say...

How awesome I find this one came out?! I was so happy!!! So, so happy!
I can't find a single flaw about this one - I didn't get bubbles, I didn't get craters (you know, the ones you get when your sponge is too wet and it'll leave a tiny 'hole' on the surface?).
The colours merged together naturally and even though I would've like to see more of the blue polish, I think this look great!

I mean the blue and the yellow matched for some reen and the blue and the red fuchsia melted into a lilac kind of purple! Perfection! :D
I was so happy about these :))

However, I was hesitant about what to do next.
And as per usual, I kinda ruined it afterwards by adding:

... a glitter topcoat to it - Golden Rose Jolly Jewels No.123.
I hesitated before applying it, but seeing I'd already taken pictures of the gradient in its pure form, I figured it wouldn't do much harm.

And I'm not saying it did - I still can't decide if I hate it or not, but...
There's still a 'but', right? And you just know a 'but' is never a good thing ;)

So...

Which do you prefer?
Glitter or no glitter?

Let me know in the comments below and hope you've liked at least one of them ;)
And, in case you haven't noticed, we had some sunny weather today! It was cold as hell, but, ladies, the sun made it all much better *.*

I'll be seeing you all tomorrow, so for now, just have yourselves a fine evening (I'm about to have me some pedi time ;)).

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

  7. That's a perfect gradient - quite beautiful. I prefer it without the glitter, so that you can see the gradient better.
