Bestie Twin Mani with @nailartbymae

Yay! Bestie Twin Mani with @nailartbymae :)
I'm so, so happy about today's mani! Not because it came out right (which it didn't) but because I had so much fun with lovely Mae recreating Cath Kidston's strawberries pattern.

You wouldn't believe it's Mae's first time painting strawberries, right? They're so perfect (check them here)! Thank you for challenging me, hun - I had a lot of fun!

Ta-da!!
I looooove doing collabs! They're fun, they're challenging and they just say so much of the incredible nail community! :))

I just wish that my strawberries didn't look... so...not... like strawberries.
It's the only thing that saddens me - that I wasn't able to make this a prettier, more perfect mani.

I started by applying two thin coats of Kiko No.340, a most gorgeous soft baby blue.

I drew the straberries using acrylic paints, but they look like blobs of paint, rather than strawberries - bu-uhh on my terrible technique!
I'll recreate these soon, though - I'll get them right! It's a promise! ;)

I hope you've liked these nonetheless. Let me know what you think of mani collabs - do you also find them fun? :)

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

  1. Hmmm, they look like strawberries to me right down to the tiny seeds. I like both mani's. I love your handpainted design and even though it's not "perfect" it's not a computer generated image like a sticker or a water decal and that adds to the wonderfulness of your handpainted mani. Those are too perfect and look so sterile. Beautiful design and beautiful re-creation!

  2. Your strawberries look very glossy from distance :)) It's like you photograph them on a very sunny day. The light places on your strawberries look like flecks of sunlight! Very pretty mani!
