Back To Civilization...

... after a whole week of doing nothing but having fun and relaxing is oh so distressing!

As I'm not one to whine and drag my feet, I thought it better to relax myself by coming up with a nice manicure for the day! :D

I had been around with this picture for a while, wanting to do something but never really having the time to, so today was the day I tried to recreate this on my nails! :)

Wanna have a look?

I ignored the whole Venice look about it and just kept the buildings, which are to me what means to come back from holidays.
I usually try to relax in places far away from cities and such busy places and buildings are usually not part of the landscape at all.
But coming back home also means I get that back again ;)

I do know it's not 100% accurate and faithful to the original and I know I took many liberties while recreating these but...
On my part, I'm happy already with the fact that I was able to imprint o
n my nails so many of the nuances I saw in the original painting.
What do you think? Can you pick a favourite?

The thumb reminds me of abandoned buildings, full of graffiti and marks of misusage.
Although kind of sad it's also part of the city landscape, right?

I tried to portray different kinds of buildings as the painting does.
Anyway, all I want to say really is: Darlings, I'm home! :))

I wish you all a great weekend - as for myself  I'm procratinating the whole unpacking process
hahah -.-'
