But, my lovely ones, that's when one must persevere!
When life gets in the way, it's time to bravely find a way around it! ;)
It's either that or sleeping very few hours, which, let's face it, I do already, so I might as well not push it :)
And that was when I remembered a couple of nail wraps my sister left behind at my place, 'cause they weren't good at placing and sticking in place as they should.
Now, I don't wear nail stickers because... I don't need it - I have tons of polish and I much rather battle with coats and slow drying timing than with bumps and funny looking finishes.
But I thought I could wear them differently, other than on the entire nail, and that's just what I did:
Excuse the fuzzy lighting, but tthe month of May is turning out a crappy one in terms of weather!
Can you believe I'm wearing rain boots and a winter coat AGAIN?
C'mon! Stop doing this to me, weather!
I started with two easy thin coats of Coral Matt No.404.
I've figured out by now that matte polishes are the best basecoaters - they dry incredibly fast and allow for nail art beautifully! :D
I then cut the nail patches into rectangles - yes, I know, they're not straight, but I was sleepy and my head wanted to die after looking at receipts for two hours ;(
All I needed then was to place the strips on top of the nail, more or less in the middle.
Believe it or not, this only took ca.15min.
And that's because my brain was dead and I only cut the rectangles after applying the polish on my nails and not before as I should have- I had to be extra slow to avoid bumps.
So, if you have the strips already cut it might even take less :)
What do you think? Good idea? Meh idea?
Do let me know and hope the sun is shinning wherever you are - send me some if that's the case! ;)
Have a rocking Friday <3

DeleteI can't bring myself to wear nail wraps as they're meant to be worn ;)
So this was a good idea AND like this they won't go to waste haha **
What a lovely idea. I like that you only covered the center of your nail :)
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie! So glad you liked these. And yes, I don't think I could ever wear a complete nail wrap, I just can't seem to make it work opn my nails (they always get wrinkled and such), as much as I love some of the patterns I've seen around ;)
DeleteI truly think you had a great idea!! I never used a nail wrap because of the same reasons as you, I prefer to deal with coats and drying times LOL. Well, your receipts are done and you got a gorgeous manicure... great day huh?? Kisses :)
ReplyDeleteCristina
