Needle drag marble is something that should totally be disinvented - this one seriously gave me an headache!
AND! it didn't end up looking awesome at all, so double negative points (bloody thing).
I'd first tried Needle Drag Marble nails for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas - HERE - and had to redo each nail about a hundred times.
So, I thought I'd do needle drag marble decals this time. I mean, what could possibly go wrong!?
Well, let me tell you what could go wrong: e v e r y t h i n g !!
Decals are the darnest thing!! Ugh!
The only thing saving this mani are the colours I used, really.
I chose one of my faves: Barry M Cancun.
And Bellaoggi No.45.
'Cause that's what one does when you have a gut feeling telling you things aren't going to work out - choose pretty polishes to make you forget all the rest :)
I knew this was a killer combo, since I'd used it HERE before and it was a success!
I did the decals over a cooking silicone sheet I have for pizza dough that I never used and it worked wonders. I applied both polishes and also white in rows and used a thin brush to make the needle drag effect.
All in all I think the colours make the look not so terrible, but we'll just have to face I'm not made to master this technique. At all!!
Stay tuned for Day 3 and meanwhile come with me check all the fabulous ladies below.
See you tomorrow!
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

ReplyDeleteOh, I know what you mean with decals being difficult. I have lots of trouble applying them and fitting them into position without a complete mess. On a good note, I think these look absolutely beautiful and effortless. And like you said, the colors are stunning!

ReplyDeleteYou could never tell that you had trouble with it because the end result is flawless! I hate when that happens though. You expect something to be so easy and of course, it never works out that way!
ReplyDeleteI think you nailed it; don't see anything wrong with it at all!
