But I got the idea for today's nail art from it, so I guess it's not all that bad :)
I can't tell you how much I loved wearing these around this Saturday's sunny, roasting beach weather.
They were happy, funky and definitely eye-catching.
Also, did I mention, easy and fast to make? :)
I started with two coats of Kiko Cupcake 655 Menta.
A lot of people aren't really into texture polishes but they're my go-to-polish when I need to get my nails done quick and without the hassle of clean up.
The gritty texture makes your brush strokes really controlled and you'll hardly mess up your cuticles.
Plus the drying time is fast and there's no need for a top-coat.
Can a girl ask for more, really?
The tattoo design was done in white acrylic paint and I confess I was surprised at how smoothly I was able to make these lines. I thought they'd get all bumpy and all, but the gritty finish actually helps you control your straight lines - awesome, right? :)
To
make these stand out a bit more, I added some caviar gold beads and
that's the touch that really makes this mani look fabulous :)
What do you think? Let me know all about how you love (or not) texture polishes, temporary tattos and freehand designs :D

These look awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love that blue textured polish.
ReplyDeleteThat looks great . I am amazed how perfect lines you created
ReplyDeleteOh so gorgeous! I love texture polishes for the same reasons and even if you bump your nails into something the smudges won't be so visible. You made me curious about drawing lines over texture so I'll definetly try it!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Wow, sweetie this is such a good combo! I am not a big fan of textured polishes anymore, but you managed to pull these off and they look perfect. I can't believe how straight the lines are (crazy!) and the golden beads are the perfect addition. Awesome mani :*
ReplyDeleteOooo!! The Kiko texture polishes are on my wish list for a such a long time, but I haven't seen any of them here in Australia yet :( I'm all in for this beautiful texture polish!! And the tattoo design is just a perfection!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, I've not tried textured polishes and I didn't know they were a little easier to handle than regular polish. I would have thought the opposite before reading this! I like the colours and the design you've created. :)
