A2Z - C is for Copycat

Copycat (or themes alike) are always a tough job for me, 'cause there's so many nail artists I want to 'honor'.

Still, it's always a really fun theme to tackle and one that can take your artistry to the limit - especially when you choose to emulate something so different from your style, like I decided I'd do today:

I went for a copycat of @cottonconey lovely design - she's got amazing nail art, her neverchanging hand pose is something I'll never be able to match (how do you do it, girl?) and so unique it's hard not to love every single one! I'd been dying to try this particular one.

Kiko No.327

I didn't have a beautiful shimmery like grey polish as she did, so I went for a creme grey polish: Kiko Granite Grey (No.327).

I freehanded the flowers using acrylic paint and although they're nowhere as perfect as @cottonconey, I'm pretty happy I managed something out of my comfort zone fairly acceptable ;)

What do you think? Yay or nay?
Don't forget to check @cottonconey account - she'll blow your mind :)

And also make sure you check all the awesome ladies taking part in this challenge (go here).

I'll talk to you tomorrow!

  3. Hello, Disqus :)) I should finally think about getting it myself. Wonderful design! And you're right - she has amazing manicures (and that hand pose :))) Some people have very flexible fingers, I think. You did a great job on this mani!

  6. Hi, sweetie! I'm trying to make things easier when replying to all your lovely comments. You should try it, too - I'm lovin' it! :)
I'm sorry I've been out of contact for so long (can't believe it's two months almost) but giving classes is a lot of work! Trying to make it up to you all now ;)
So, that being said, thank you so much for stopping by and for your lovely words - I feel like all of @cottonconey work is so amazing! Glad I could at least not ruin the beautiful design :))
