This Is Not Miami Vice

When I showed BF my nails today he said: 'Cool! They're like Miami Vice'

And I said: 'Ah... no... they would be that if...

... these had been palm trees, which they clearly aren't, seeing I couldn't for the life of dear ol' me make ones.'
hahahaha

Nonetheless I'm obssessed and in love with today's mani.
I had never done a sunset silhouette design and, honestly, now that I have... what was I waiting for?!
The effect these have on your nails is to die for!

I only used three polishes for the gradient and some black acrylic paint for the sillhouette trees!
Flormar Blue Jeans (QD09) - yay! they've got names now! :)
Linda Johansen Lilac Lilly
Kiko Tangerine (No.482)

I had to do the gradient twice, because I was dead set on painting palm trees.
But since I couldn't make them cute enough nor could I erase the black acrylic paint in a non-messy manner, I had to start all over again.
And the second time I settled for mountain trees - still romantic and very vacation like ;)

These will be my favourite for a long, long time and I'll probably wear these tomorrow still, that's how much I like them! :)

How about you? Like them just as much?
Or  would you rather these were palm trees? ;) hehehe

Whatever your answers are just promise me you'll try a sunset silhouette on your nails sometime during your lifetime.
You can thank me later, once you have done so ;)

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

  1. Not palm? Not a problem, I like it anyway... maybe a lot because I live near mountains and hills, in the middle of a valley :)

  2. ahaha!! I don't know why, I saw palm trees too! It wasn't until I read that you said they weren't, that I realized they weren't. And they're totally not palm trees. My eyes played tricks on me, good thing I have reading comprehension on my side lol

  5. Oh dear, thus is one beautifully done gradient! Funnily enough, I'm going to make an exact one for one of my nail challenge days, and I can only hope it'll be as good as yours! :) And those trees are just awesome, very original!
