Why Are Pretty Accessories Worth It

Today's post has been long postponed.
I got the cutest green polish and I was dying to wear it and show it to you.
But I had no muse telling me what nail art to pair it with and I didn't want it to be a mere swatching post.

Until I opened my accessories box (which doesn't happen all that often - I tend to go plain Jane most of the time) and I took out this cute piece:

Yes, the green shades in it are slightly different but, can't you see it?
I finally got my inspiration - the one I'd been longing for!

So now I can finally show this piece of awesomeness to you all! Isn't it beautiful!?
This is probably my favourite green-green polish for this Summer.
It's not neon, it's not acqua, nor is it mint. It's unlike anything I own! And I love it!!!

This gorgeous polish goes on your nail smooth as cotton candy and you can easily get perfect coverage with one coat. My nails are short now, so I can attest to its one-coat wonders! :)
It looks shiny on its own, although not as much as others I've tried.
But still I think you can get away without a topcoat - don't you?

As for nail art... could this pattern be any more perfect?
Just be honest with me - weren't they made for each other?! :)

I used acrylic paints to draw the flowers and the leaves on and I love that the design isn't neat.
It's pretty on its own messiness :)

I started by drawing everything in black, so I wouldn't have to draw a crazy thin outline (which I knew wouldn't come out nice and thin).
I then filled in the black with white, leaving a bit of the black showing, to be my outline.
It's the neatest way of guaranteeing a good outline :)

I dotted the flowers center using the same technique, applied a matte topcoat just 'cause I was feeling it and voilĂ !

I'm so happy with this one! Did you like it much? How about this polish - cute or what?

Oh, before I forget! Let me tell you I'll be on holidays the next couple weeks, so posting might be a bit irregular - hope you don't mind and still come to visit ;)

Also know that I've prepared a couple posts ahead, way before I broke my nails, so don't find it odd that some of the posts show off my still long nails ;)

Hope you're having a fantastic Friday and I wish you a fab weekend, lovelies!! <3
