It's An Emergency!

If you follow me on Instagram you might know by now what I'm talking about (check this post here).

In case you don't know what I mean, here's the story: 
I went away for 3/4 days and decided there was no way I'd need to bring a full nail kit with me. Actually I decided to take matters further and decided I didn't need any nail instruments whatsoever.

I felt brave and confident. I felt powerful and like I could rule the world.
Yeah... that lasted until I chipped a nail - Ibet you saw that coming, right? ;)

Long story short; of course I had to run around places and drag Bf (he's a saint sometimes, I tell you!) with me until I found a nail file, an acetone bottle, base coat and a nice polish.

Here's the one I got:

This is Essence I Love Summer Break, from their Beach Cruisers collection.

Funny thing is: where I lived (the big city) these aren't yet available - where I went to (small city) they had them all... hahaha

I chose a texturized polish because I knew then I wouldn't need a topcoat - smart hey? ;)

It's a lovely polish, opaque in two coats and it can go up to three days without chipping and without showing much wear - I took these photos when I got home after the getaway.

Of course I added some nail art for the photo shoot and you know since I found out about markers, that I use them on texturized polishes for simple nail art look.

I went with little fluffy clouds on this one, just because they look really cute and, let's face it, who doesn't like adorable lil' clouds, right? ;)

So now you know my little nail adventure during my time away, I hope you've learnt what everyone should already know: never leave the house without nail polish :))
