Mina's Simple Manis: Dotticure Flowers

I hadn't done one of Mina's Simple Manis this week, so here it is! :)

Remember the dotticure flowers I did in this guest post for Cristina (The Clockwise Nail Polish)?

For today's mani on the series, I decided on a simple take on that look and...

... voilĂ ! This is what came out :)
I started with a polish which is among one of my favourite green shades: Sally Hansen Green With Envy.
(The photos below are a lot more colour accurate on this velvety like avocado green - Bear with me while I'm learning the tweeks to indoor photography ;))

I started by applying two easy coats and letting that dry completely.

And can I just say I own this polish for almost three years now?
Nothing beats good quality, right? ;)

I then picked out my thin nail art brush and som black acrylic paint.
You can use a dotting tool, but I find the brush will give you tinnier dots.
And you can also use black polish instead of the acrylic paint, but I find the acrylic paint last longer without going goopy and I like that :)

With those tools you then just start dotting the flowers. Trust me, this is not hard at all :)
Once you have all your petals, make sure you add more dots to make the center stand out.

And that's it! I'd love to see you try these - trust me, they're quite simple - all you need is two colour and some time to make the dotticure flowers :)

I hope your week's going well - we're almost at the finish line and I've got the most adorable mani set for tomorrow: let's see if I can make it ;)

Till then, have a wonderful evening, lovelies and talk to you tomorrow.

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
