Christmas Paisley

Oh yes, I had to try Paisley again :)
And seeing we're getting closer by the day to Christmas Day, I thought I'd do it with christmas-y colours.

Oh, this season is so lovely!!!

Woo-hoaaaa! At first I was like 'Girl, you overdid this one'
I mean, it's such a busy mani, know what I mean?
It's not that it doesn't look good but with so much going on it can be a bit overpowering, know what I mean?

I kinda figured I would loose control, so I started off with a neutral, simple base shade, using two coats of Bourjois Cotton Sur Ton.
The first coat made me suspicious at first but the second one dissipated my fears - great coverage for such a light shade! :D

Here's a further away shot, so you can see the pattern is actually kind of cool when observed from not so close ;)

After the base colour had dried completely I started drawing on the paisley pattern using red, green and gold acrylic paints.
Although I haven't yet  managed to nail the shape, I'd say these are looking better than my first attempt, wouldn't you?

To complete the look I went and added some dots in gold, red and white.
What do you think? Yay or nay? For me it's 50/50.

Anyway, we're half done with this week and all I can do not to die from exhaustion is think upon the upcoming weekend ;)

I'm actually proud I've been managing painting my  nails, nail art and two jobs at the same time - this girl here is very tired but very happy :D

Excuse the lack of reply to all your sweet comments - I hope you know I read them (it's what gives me the strenght to keep up the rhythm here in the blog) and rest assured I will eventually reply to all of them ;)

Hope you're all doing good and less tired than I am <3

Hugs & Kissies,
