It's a Back To School Nail Art Challenge and the first mani was to be: APPLES!
Now, whoever thought apples were easy (me included), please take that ridiculous idea out of your head, right now!
*sighs*
I saw the pretty mani Rachel, who's the host to this challenge, prepared and I was 'uhhh, I want me some of that!'
And then I thought of pop art like apples and went even more 'uhhhhhhhhhhhh, I WANT some of THAT!'
In the end, and two designs erased later, this was what I was able to come up with before collapsing in bed:
I know, I know, not that impressive... :/
Details: I've used OPI Alpine White (or what's left of it) for the white nails and Rimmel Lemon Drop for the soft yellow ones.
Then, I drew an apple on a piece of sponge and dabbed it on my ring finger and thumb to get an old crayon drawing look, as if it was one of your 1st or 2nd grade works ;)
Not too sure it worked out as I wanted it to but...
Then for the apple halves, I just drew a kind of heart shape using Serenna No.2 and the same soft yellow Rimmel polish for the insides of each apple.
The seeds were done with Purple Professional No.18.
The vein halving each side was done with Coral Neon No.604.
The stalk exists thanks to Perfec Lady No.76 (which is probably the only brown I own) and leaves were done with Beauty UK Soft Green.
Wow, don't think I've given such polish details for quite some time - hope I didn't bore you ;)
Make sure to check the other (certainly much better) apple designs below and leave me your comment as well - you always make me smile and feel better about failed manis ;(
Hugs & Kissies,

DeleteOh I like them so much :) And I agree, you can't be very creative with apples (I am just brainstorming ideas right now and nothing....), but I still think you have done an excellent job and brought good, old apple to the next level. Especially with sponging the whole design onto your nail! Amazing <3 And now you can also change the caption of your blog to "An apple mani a day, keeps the doctor away" :D
