Under the Sea

... is where I always wanted to be!
Or... shall I say... go? ;)

Because our beaches here aren't tropical enough for the pretty coral reefs everyone (me included) loves, I thought it pretty cool to sport the 'style' on my nails :D

I was wearing a new Bellaoggi polish - sorry, but I've been obssessed and you know I'm the over enthusiastic type ;) - and decided it was the perfect dark blue to serve as a base colour.

Check it out:

Another easy one coater? You bet! And the shine you see is its own merit - no topcoat!
Seriously, how can I not be in love?! ;)

This pretty baby is No. 12 in their collection and although not a very summery shade, you'll see you can transform anything into your very own favourite Summer mood :D

Oh! By the way...

As requested, here's a small comparison of brushes. You can see Bellaoggi not only gives you width it also provides with that nice rounded tip, adaptable to your cuticle shape :D
What do you think?

And here's my attempt at a coral reef ;)
I know it's not perfect and maybe the colours should have been, I don't know, brighter (?), bolder (?).

As the non-expert that I am, I did look at a couple of pictures before hand, but because I'm mostly weird and love different quirky things, I went for this one as guidance! ;)
Oh, yes, it's true, by the way!
Cubbiful is on Pinterest now and although I'm still getting te bearings of it all, feel free to join the ride :D

I won't list the endless list of polishes used, 'cause believe me they were way too many to even be counted, but should you have any question, you know I'll get back to you in the comment section below :D

I tried to portray different species but I'm just not talented enough.
Still I hope you get to detect some...shapes - hahaha ;)
I just love the starfish and the shades I pulled off with the flute like reef structure (?) on my pinkie <3

I've also used some of my Staedtler permanent markers, as I yet don't have brushes (I know, I know, but what can I do? The beach is overwhelming and the weather gives me no other choice, really! :P)

I think you can tell by my writing this post at 1a.m. - it's just too hot to sleep and a stroll outside can last for hours! Soooo good! :D

Now, let me know what you think of this mani with your much appreciated, lovely comments and don't forget!!...

Tomorrow's Friday!!!!!!!! :D

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

  2. Wow, this is amazing Mina! Why you say you not talented enough?! That's insane! Sweetie you made this coral reef so beautifully :)All the details and all the beautiful colors really work together well. Great job! I hope you will not boil over there and that it will cool down a bit. Here it's getting hot as well, but I am happy, because the weather was a bit crappy.
