Onto day two of this lovely challenge - and a challenge it was!
Not because the mani got overcomplicated, intricate or even hard stuff, master level kind of thing.
No, it was a challenge, because my Mumsi is sooooo much, it's hard to depict jus the one thing :)
I thought about her lovely talent for painting. But then I though 'You didn't inherit it!' and gave up on a complicated-technique-Van Gogh kind of mani.
Then I focused on her uncomparable cooking and baking feats (it was dinner time haha), just to take it off my mind right after. Nah!
After that I went for her tenacity and courage when facing life, her determination and wanting to do more and do better. And of course I stopped on my tracks right away - I mean, how do you portray that in a manicure?!
Are you starting to get the picture? ;)
And then it hit me.
I went to a teenager moment, engraved in my mind (why we keep memory of the strangest most common moments, beats me): the first time I wore a piece of clothing from my mum!
Silly, in't it? But, boy oh boy, how I loved that skirt!
White, plaided, with black tiny polka dots. Silky, but above the knee - just the right combination of classy and flirty.
Yep! Don't ask me why it's one of my Mother & Daughter memories, but it is - and the simplest ones are usually the best, wouldn't you say?
So you see, I went with the 'Have you been in my closet?' mani - let's see what you think of it and I promise you - no more talking! ;)
I worked hard on the photos - all for Mom! :D
Oh! The skirt didn't have the red dots, but red is Mom's favourite nail polish shade, so... ;)
These were taken on Mom's little balcony garden, so you see just how much this Woman does?
Thank you, Mumsi, for being the awesomest of awesome <3
And before I get too emotional (oh, who am I kidding! I'm emotional all over! ;)), this was done with Purple Professional No.32 for the white base. For the black dots I used Purple Professional No.18. And the tiny red ones are Actuelle 469 Cremoso.
Sorry for this being so late at night and sorry for the lenghty post.
But don't Moms deserve our everything? :)
