Come with me:
Behold my awesome dragon nails!
If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen these. I posted them on Saturday but then fell ill (food poisoning sucks) and I didn't feel like sitting by the computer to write this post.
This is how it all started - I painted the dragon's scales and eye over my base coat.
I was 100% inspired by Odette Swan and her amazing video on how to paint the scales - you can check that out HERE.
She makes it look insanely easy but, trust me, it's not. This stage alone took me almost 40min until I was satisfied with the result.
I then outlined the scales in black (thin strokes drive me absolutely nuts!) and was gonna leave it like this, 'cause in my mind albino dragons totally rock and should be given a chance to shine but...
Bf said he didn't even consider it to look like any real dragon (as if dragon even exist! but ok...), so....
I then had to paint it green and play with shading and whatever, which took me about another hour something, until I achieved this look.
It was an insane freehand battle (all with acrylic paint, btw) but one totally worth it, right?
They were great to wear and made me feel like a mysterious, mighty warrior from DragonLand.
Yeah... did I tell you I was ill? (delusional Mina hahaha).
Did you get to see them on your Instagram feed on Saturday? What do you mean no? Go follow meeee! ;)
How do you like them? Are they dragon-ish enough?
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
