They're simple, yet fancy and striking. I'm finding more and more that it's impossible not to love pattern nails ;)
Here's a fancy take on the herringbone pattern.
For my silver background, I used one of my old favourites: Flormar Wild Nails CW101.
It's quite shiny, almost mirror like, and the brush strokes aren't very visible after you apply topcoat.
I freehanded the herringbone pattern with some black acrylic paint and was all set.
These were great to wear, I felt so fashionable and chic. Loved it!

This design looks very high fashion! You did such a fabulous job on that freehand design (I'm just imagining the hot mess I would make trying to do such an intricate pattern freehand, LOL!).
