World AIDS Day

This one's to #PutARibbonOnIt, which is the same as saying I'm here showing solidarity to the 34 million people living with HIV world-wide.

Mel (aka @lissamel9) put together a group of really talented ladies, which I'm happy to be a part of, to create a design specially for the occasion - check out the collage here.

Instead of the red ribbon, I got inspired by the HIVAware UK site's trademark image (click here) and did this mani to show my support.

 What does «Act Aware» mean?
'Knowledge of HIV is on the decline (...) to Act Aware (...) about HIV and acting on that knowledge (...) [is] taking care of your own health and the health of others. (...) also ensures you treat everyone living with HIV fairly and with understanding.' (click here for text source)

As a matter of fact, I took the quiz on that site (do it here yourself) before getting my hands on this mani and I'm ashamed to say I scored a 2 out of 10.
Truth is I'm much informed now and that's what this was all about - get aware, people!
