Turquoise, the Stone

Turquoise has got to be one of my faovurite minerals.
Which is why I fell head over heals when I saw these lovelies (which I got here):

You know they're lovely :)

I started off by painting my nails with Kiko Mint (No.526).
Despite the somewhat thicker formula - you cannot overlap while applying - the colour is a major reward! Bright as no other and opaque in 1/2 coats (depending on your nail lenght! <3

Now, here's where I'm a bit frustrated with today's nail art.
It's  not that I don't  like it - it's just it's not really the same, now is it?

I tried freehanding the stone pattern, after tons of failed trials with the water technique.
Still I kinda like how it turned out... sort of... no?

I then went for the other pattern and... well, I wasn't any luckier...
Don't ge tme wrong, I like the look of it, but when compared to the beautiful ring... it just somehow falls short, know what I mean?

Anyway, what do you think? Yay or nay - do leave me a comment down below.

Hope you started the week in a lovely fashion and I'll talk to you tomorrow :)

  3. I think you did it very well!! If you look at the nails only (without comparing with the stone) they look very similar. And the polish color is gorgeous!!

  5. I think you totally nailed it! Perfect colour, and your lines are very subtle. I love it! Amo anéis grandões como esse, mas aqui na Bélgica acho difícil de encontrar... esse povinho aqui é muito sem sal, falta extravagância... kkkkkkkk
Big kiss and a great week to you sweetie!

  6. You did great on these sweetie and you are right, the color is freakin amazing! (nevermind the formula, we all can live with it if the color is great). I have a similar polish from KIKO no. 389, but I have to take a look at this one :) I need more KIKO!
