31DC2013 - Day 19: Galaxy Nails? Love Them!

The title says it all! 
Till yesterday, I'd never tried galaxy nails before, which, of course was dumb of me! 
'Cause galaxy nails are just the coolest thing ever! 
They rock to the extremes of awesomeness! :D


So, without further ado, here are my galaxy nails:

Eeeeeek! I still shriek at the sight of them!

Today's theme definitely got me excited! And once this challenge's over, I'll be trying more and more of this, for sure! :)

What's best about this is that you can literally do whatever you want, that you'll never go wrong.

Beware though, to have your work table full with all different tones of the same colour. 

I didn't even know I owned that many blue polihes! ;)

I put most of my effort on my thumb and I even took a snap in direct sunlight, hoping you'll be able to see all the nuances in this piece - the black base for starters, can you see the multicoloured microglitter it has? Gorgeous! 

I didn't just work with blues here. I also picked up some golds, greens, oranges and purples.

Can I just say I didn't even care that my topcoat bubbled up a bit (I bet you can see it, too, yes?)?

If I can give a piece of advice (quite humbly, of course) on anyone trying this: go for shimmery polishes!

They're perfect at helping create the stars and particle clouds ;)

Let me show you another thumb picture, just because this is my favourite and finish off by saying that a good topcoat is precious for a perfect look on these!

It harmonizes the whole design and just ... I mean it's like watching magic happen! hehehe :)

So, I bet you can tell I loved today's theme, hey?! ;)
