TPC 2 - July - It Dawned On Me!

I was trying to do something amazing for today's TPC but I was out of ideas.

So, encouraged by yesterday's success with the three-polish gradient, I went for it again.

I started with the green polish: Bellaoggi Mojito.

Here's a swatch photo of it, just because I didn't show it before and it totally deserves some showing off, don't you think?!

It's No.36 - the cute name it has (Mojito) is not written in the bottle, which, to me, is a total waste of criativity ;(

Anyway, I then did the gradient using the remaining two colours: for the middle section, I used the light blue - Prestige Light Denim - and on the tips of the nails, the dark blue - Bellaoggi Plastic Blue.

For me, the gradient screw up, this is such an achievement! 

You have no idea ;)

Then I got into a predicament! I wanted to take photos yesterday still,  because things at work have been busy and I knew I wouldn't have the time to take photos and edit them before leaving the house this morning.

But my mind was stuck in a desert, out of ideas and the sun was setting - my photo light was getting away.

And that's when it hit me! :D

Sunset! Lights!

What do people do when the sun goes away? They turn on the lights!

BAM! :D

It's a rather simple design: I did some buildings over the gradient, with nothing but simple lines, using my black Staedtler permanent marker.

You see, I didn't have much time and if I had done this with a striper brush, there's no way I would've still been able to photo shoot it ;)

After that I took a gold polish - Beauty UK Aztec - and did 'lights' on some of the windows :)

Get it? Sun is going down, sky's turning darker and people turn on the lights in their homes :D

It's a cosy thought, hey? <3
