I won't talk much today, 'cause my head has done all the talking it could possibly manage today. I've been in and out of meetings and my brain is suffering from it, for sure ;)
Instead I'll let you enjoy the pictures, which I'm quite proud of, I must say :)
Today's nails were inspired by this textured painting, created by Christine Krainock.
The painting made me think of sculptured gold and I thought the idea brilliant to 31DC2014 Day 8: metallic nails.
Doing it on my nails wasn't too hard and not all the work you're thinking it was.
I chose one of my favourite golden polishes - Inglot No.223 - and applied about 4/5 coats on each nail with minimum waiting time in between layers.
After that was done, I was left with a really thick coat of polish on each nail.
I sprayed them all with a fast drying spray just to create a more or less dry surface.
Then all I had to do was apply pressure using my orange stick and make some flowers.
You can see some bits where I applied too much pressure and I went to the bottom of the nail. But I kinda like it and I think it adds dimension to the flowers :)
This was rather simple to make but can you guess how many hours I had to wait until it was all dry? Let's just say I didn't get my eight-hour beauty sleep ;)
Let me know how you like these down below and I hope Monday wasn't too tough on you ;)
