Mani Swap With Nailrotica(aka @lissamel9)

Today's post is one that makes me smile soooooo much! :)
Mel, from Nailrotica (or @lissamel9 if you follow her on Instagram) talked to me about us doing a Mani Swap together.

I'll tell you - I had such a fangirling moment! hahaha
I'm weird you know, I love the main nail artists out there and I wow and follow them close as much as the next person.

But ever since I got into Instagram I've discovered a whole new world - no, not being over dramatic here ;)

Anwyays, Mel was one of my Instagram love cases ;) I love how she manages such different nail art with each mani.

I'll tell you! She's good with stamping (and reverse stamping), she's good with freehand, she's good with tape manis, she's just... GOOD! You know what I mean? ;)
So you better be (or be about to) following her :)

Onto our mani swap now (I always talk sooo much when I'm excited about something haha):

Weeeeeeeee! ^.^
Don't these look lovely!?
I feel so emotional seeing one of my cutest manis recreated :) (yes, I'm weird like that lol)
Thank you, Mel, this has been an honor and a lot of fun for sure!

This is my recreation of her lovely Mendhi Nails (check it here)
And I'm happy I didn't recreate it before, as I'd intended and was lucky enough to have her want to do a mani swap with lil' me ;)
I know this one's a strange hand pose for me but I was trying to recreate hers as well hahaha

And let me tell you something! You truly only understand someone's work when you try to recreate it.
I'd seen these and had been totally amazed. But recreating them for almost two whole hours made me respect her work so much more!
Seriously though!

I've used my fave light nude: Dermacélsia Eternal.
It was the closest I had to the one Mel used.

I then had to mix green and red to make the brown henna like colour, 'cause I don't own any brown acrylic paint (have to think about it though).
I freehanded each nail design and although I think Mel's look far cuter than mine, I think I did good, don't you?

The hardest part really was the part on my finger - had to redo it three times hahaha
And look, I even added a knuckle feather ring in gold, to match Mal's look to the max ;)

Let me know how you think I did and don't forget to check Mel's and show her a ton of love :D
Hope you have a fabulous evening, lovelies. Thank you for stopping by ;)

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
