Better Late Than Never

... is the motto to today's post.
I posted this earlier today but never did I think 'later this evening' meant this late.

I do apologize - this one should have been up hours ago. The delay is for a good cause though!
I was playing the awesome big sister role and went with my sister to watch her roller-derby match.

Well...
It ended up not happening 'cause the other team's girls didn't show up (ask me, they were scared) but it was fun nonetheless ;)

And now enough is enough: onto today's pretty mani design! On we go:

Can I just say how proud and happy I am of these?
In looooove!!

I was inspired by these tiles on one of Lisbon't subway stations (for all those Portuguese ladies out there, can you guess which one it is? ;))

I changed up the colours to fit my happy Spring mood.
Instead of grey, I went with Kiko Light Blue (No.340) - no more cloudy days, we got bright light ones instead! :)

Dark Green? No thank you!
We want a flowery pink - I chose this cute Bellaoggi Bikini Pink (No.20) to do the job.

And instead of mustardy yellow, we want sunshine yellow, oh yes, please!
The chosen one could be no other than Bellaoggi Sunshine Yellow (No.34).

I applied them all over two coats of white polish (Inocos Pipoca em Viagem), using a cross pattern with striping tape.

I lastly freehand the black squares to the center, using black acrylic paint.

And that is it!!! Can't believe I manage this to be up before midnight! Oh yeah! ;)
Hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have and I just want to thank you all for the lovely comments you've been showering me with - you guys totally rock!!! <3

And that's it - over and out, 'cause there's a bed awaiting me for some awesome dreaming ;)

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

  3. Oooohh, I feel some copy-tastic coming up! Love this mani, and think I'll attempt it! lol, me and striping tape - my hubby has said it's always a treat to watch me do a mani with it. I do love the clean lines it gives you but, even when I work just one nail at a time, there's always drama involved! It simply amazes me how they go from innocent itty, bitty, tiny pieces of tape to these spawns of the devil!!! I start feeling that I am fighting an ever-growing octopus, trying to get them off without messing up the polish.
