Say Hi To 2014's First Mani!

True enough, it was only last night that I had the courage to take off my mosaic hearts mani.

And I was feeling a bit uninspired until BF, who's been feeling a bit under the weather lately, said to me:
'Well, if you're out of ideas, how about you make something on your nails you think will cheer me up?'

And I was like 'mmm... I'm out of ideas and you're putting further pression o....ohhhhh!!!'
And an idea sprung! hahaha - insane!

So, here's what I made to cheer BF up:

Do you think it did the deal?
Attention, there may or may not be a lot of photos ahead! *.*

I'm in love with these and, to be honest, I don't want to be removing them any time soon - hehehe
And it's my first pink galaxy look, of all things! Ohhhhh

And what to say of the adorable love-propelled rocket?
hehehe - sorry, if I'm feeling overly proud of these, but c'mon! aren't you saying to yourself 'awwww' - just a a teeny bit maybe? ;)

Onto details then, lest we all melt here!
I started with the galaxy like background, and there won't be a list of polishes used, unless you want to fall asleep out of boredom - seeing it's Friday night, maybe we don't want that, right? ;)
Let's just say I went about sponging using different pink, purple, blue and gold shades - some holographic, others glitter and even some metallic ones.

The love rocket was done using acrylic paint and was inspired in this picture here.
I'm specially proud that I was able to outline the tiny hearts! Yay!
I did the rocket's outline a bit rough and child like, to give it a cuter feel ;)

The letters (which I need to work on further) were also done with acrylic paints.
I started with the white colour and did the 'Fly Me To The Moon'.
After that, I went over it with black to make them pop.

And that's it! What's your bet on these? Did I  manage to cheer BF up or what? ;)
Have an awesome Friday evening, ladies! <3

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
