Hahahaha! Sorry for the title to this post but when I saw the theme for today's 31DC, there was a song that came straight to my mind ;)
Savage Garden (and I mean their first album only - I stay away from later works from them), were shown to me by my best friend in highschool.
To this date I still know all the lyrics to all the songs in their first album *.*
So... of course, violet nails hade me thinking of this one here <3
Apart from the girlie fan mode (because, of course I had to go and listen to the whole album - duh!), I had absolutely no idea what to do!
Paulina even tried to help me (thanks, hun! Her nails are the cutest today) and we were exchanging pictures back and forth when I came across this one on Pinterest.
If you notice, you'll see I pinned a couple others as well, because... of course doing sea shells turned out too difficult!
I'm a perfectionist and I hate it when things don't come out ... well... perfect.
But I decided to control myself today and to post my violet mani all the same, without giving you too much of 'oh, I hate it, blahblahblah', 'how terrible is this? blahblahblah' ;)
Sometimes, we can be our worst enemies and I've just been doing that for way too long lately, so let's approach this one with optimism!
It didn't turn out the way I'd foreseen it? Well, then I just have to be humble and try harder next time! :)
Enough boring you to death with words, let's show you some of this:
I wasn't going to show you my thumb, which is the worst one - just a confuse mess of paint - but we're being brave here, today, so there it is: thumb, you're no favourite of mine today! ;)
Actually if I had to choose, I'd go with my ring finger as my favourite today :)
It's not too bad actually - maybe because I spent most of my time trying to make it look good and my patience was almost zero level for the other two ;(
White background nails were done with BellaOggi Snow White and index and pinkie took on two coats of Kiko Lilac (330) (which is gorgeous!!).
As for the sea shells I won't name materials used, which ranged from acrylics to nail polishes, because they were so many - the table was full, I tell you! ;)
Without prolonguing this any further, let me know what you think of it in the comments bellow and have yourselves a kiss-ass Friday night! :D
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
