Colourful Zig Zag Nails inspired by Jin Soon Choi #A2Z - Z is for Zig Zag

I meant to do something different for today's last prompt of the A2Z nail art challenge, but after seeing Jin Soon Choi design, I was hooked and knew I had to try it.

I came across the design on a feature she did for Teen Vogue HERE but she has tons of imaginative designs, which you can check on her website, Facebook, Youtube channel or Instagram.

I did things a bit differently but the ground idea is basically there. Check it out:

I started by painting my nails all white with two coats of Inocos Pipoca em Viagem and freehanded the zig zag lines, rather than use tape and paint over them as shown in Jin Soon Choi's pictorial.

Also I did the zig zag lines in two phases: first in purple and then in black, using first Kiko 255 Violet Microglitter and then Beauty UK Denim FX Black Denim.
I thought the purple peeking through was a nice touch.

If you've seen the original, you'll notice I went different with a mosaic-y accent nail, which has nothing to do with zig zags, I know, but it turned out awesome, don't you think?
