I'm doing my first mani swap and it could be with no other than with my lovely friend Paulina, from Paulina's Passions.
That means I chose one of her beautiful designs to have a go at and she did the same (click here) ;)
Also this is a double first experience because I chose this design from her and it was my first go at feathers, so remember to be nice ;)
This is her lovely, lovely design:
And here's my go at it:
These were soooo hard!!!
I also attempted Paulina's hand pose but in the end had to give up - ours fingers pose just too differently ;)
I started by painting my thumb, middle and ring fingers with a light pastel yellow - Rimmel London Lemon Drop - and topcoating it with a glitter polish - Serenna No.SE036.
I then applied Golden Rose Jolly Jewels No.107, the closest I could find to the Maybelline polish Paulina used. I love this one - sooooo pretty!
Last, but not least, I proceeded with the peacock feathers - how difficult these were and you wouldn't believe how many nail polishes I used!!!
And even so they're not near as perfect as Paulina's! Way to go honey, I knew already you were good at this, but only know do I fully know just how good ;)
You rock, girl! <3
Here's a sneak peek just for you at which of my manis Paulina chose to recreate:
Now go check more lovely photos at Paulina's Passions post and give her some love - she's one talented lady - go, go, go :)
Have a wonderful evening and see you all tomorrow :)
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
It looks amazing for your first try at creating feathers! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa! Such a motivating comment! Hope I'll do better the second time ;)
DeleteYou really did an amazing job on this mani :) I know how hard the feathers can be... Love the colors you used and the beautiful glitter from GR.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for doing this for me! We shall do it again soon :*
You're a darling, sweetie! And this was great fun - we have to do it again some time! ;)
DeleteYou're both so talented! Love your and Paulina ideas:) You both did a great work with recreating manis:)
ReplyDeleteAwww, you're so sweet, Ela! Thank you so much! I hope I'll do better on my second try at feathers, though! They're so hard to accomplish!
DeleteYou're both extremely talented and I love everything you create. Paulina's manis always seem quite simple to recreate, but they're definitely not. You did a great job Mina! Congratulations! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWish you both a great weekend.
