But let's start from the beginning! Last Friday I'd experimented with a polish I was dying to use on its own - see here - and looking through my stash of inspirational buttons (yes, I do have one, they're my thing ;)), I found this one:
I am soooo in love with this manicure, you wouldn't believe it!
I tried working on the different shades on each petal and, for a first timer doing so, I'm quite pleased with the result *happy dance moment*
And here's my inspiration: My Label No.235.
I mean how beautiful is this baby? It's a cross between a nude and a pastel, I'd say and it's taken my heart completely! <3
I did the flowers using acrylic paint - I mixed my pink and my purple ones for multiples shades (I kinda enjoy the mixing process, rather than buying new bottles ;)).
And I'm loving these violet flowers the more I look at them *.*
I did a gradient on my thumb, and I love, love, love how it turned out - I should make gradients more often, I really should.
They look soooo amazing!
In case you're wondering, the glittery topcoater is by a Portuguese brand and it's called, most appropriately, Dermacélsia Glitter Time.
I am loving it - this is just one coat, as I was going for a subtle look - and I don't know why I waited so long to wear it! This no buying polish project is making me realize just how many pretty jewels I have in my drawers ;)
And this is it!
I'm sorry if I seemed too obssessed about this one in this post, raving and loving everything but... I'm so happy with how they turned out :D
Hope you liked them as much as I have - do let me know in the comments.
And have yourselves a great evening, lovelies - Friday is almost here! ;)
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *
