Paisley? Why, Yes, Please!

Paisley... I never really knew what it meant until I saw a manicure of it and said 'Mina wants!' <3

So, I finally ventured into trying to recreate it and chose for guidance the one I always thought most elegant.

Of course I didn't use her stamping technique and did it all freehand instead but I don't think they look all that bad, do you?

I started it off by applying two coats of Essence Sure Azure, a lovely snowy like blue polish with a very light shimmer to it. 

(Excuse the shaky photo - I was almost out of light when I took the photos :/)

I then picked up my thinnest nail art brush and, using black acrylic paint, drawed the paisley thingies shape - they're not perfect and all I could think of when I look at them was: bacteria! 

Do you know those microscope images you see of cells and other microorganims? That's it!

But then I took a deep breath and added the dotted outline of each shape in black (Purple Professional No.18) and thought 'Mmmm, it's looking a bit better'.

After that I added the golden ones (Beauty UK Aztec) and I actually got pretty excited!

And when I finished adding the outside large and smaller dots, I was smitten!

I mean, you can still see imperfections, but for a first try I'd say: not too bad!
